A company with a low payout threshold and straightforward design, Opinion Outpost is easy for paid survey beginners. It works on a points system, and you can cash out to your PayPal account or gift cards, making it flexible too.

They have a pretty high number of paid online surveys available on any given day, increasing the odds that you’ll qualify for at least a few. But, the average earning is fairly low. If you can only commit to one site, then Opinion Outpost is certainly worth exploring.

8. Pinecone Research

Pinecone Research is one of the most coveted paid online survey sites around.

Every survey pays a minimum of $3, and they usually only take about 15 minutes to complete. Plus, you may get a chance to do product testing (you get to keep the items), which can be fun. The trick is that Pinecone Research can be hard to qualify for because they restrict access to only certain demographics (which change, based on who they’re targeting at the time).

Additionally, each survey is invite-only, so you typically get just a few survey opportunities a month. Fortunately, you’re guaranteed to qualify for the surveys you take. They’ll send you pre-qualification questions each month. After filling those out, you’ll only be sent surveys you qualify for. So, unlike the other sites, there’s no worry about wasting time on a survey only to find out you’ve been disqualified.

As one of the highest ROI survey sites, I definitely recommend applying to the platform if you fall into one or more of the following demographics:

• 18-24
• Male
• Hispanic
• High school or less
• Asian

Even if you don’t fit these demographics, Pinecone is still worth signing up for anyway, because membership is free and the target audience changes constantly.

9. Toluna

Toluna is a survey app based around the theme of brands; they boast you can use the surveys as a chance to let your opinion be known and influence companies.

There’s the chance to participate in daily lotteries through the app, too – this gives the chance to win a million points (around $300). It also has a social side; various members report they enjoy the community.

You can receive your balance as a PayPal transfer or a gift card. Be careful not to leave your points building up too much, though; they’ll expire after earning them.

Eligibility: Membership in any Toluna panel is free and open to individuals above the age of 17.

10. Vindale Research

Unlike many other paid survey websites, Vindale Research doesn’t use points. Instead, they display the compensation in cash, making it easy to see exactly what you can earn.

The paid surveys can make you anywhere between $0.50 and $50, depending on the length (or time requirement), topic, and demographic criteria. Not a ton of extra income, but it all adds up over time.

Vindale also has other earning opportunities besides surveys, giving you a little variety too.

11. Ipsos I-Say Panel

One of the largest online survey sites, I-Say by Ipsos lets you earn points that you can redeem, typically for Amazon gift cards, Paypal, cash, or merchandise. Plus, all members are entered into prize draws, which is a nice bonus feature.

Comparatively speaking, the minimum reward threshold is pretty low, so you can actually get gift cards pretty fast. You can also use your points to purchase merchandise, like home items, sports gear, beauty products or other equipment. If you don’t have enough points to cover the purchase of an item, you can just pay the difference in cash from your PayPal account. This is an awesome feature, because you can always put your points to use, no matter how small.

Another cool thing about Ipsos is that they offer loyalty points as you hit survey milestones. For example, after completing 5 surveys, you get 25 points. At 100 surveys, you get 300 points. They also offer many sweepstakes opportunities and other fun contests for prizes.

One downside however, is that the surveys themselves don’t offer the highest compensation rates. So keep that in mind before signing up.

12. OneOpinion

With one of the fastest signup processes around, you’re ready to be paid to take surveys on OneOpinion in as little as a minute. You’ll earn points as you complete them, with 1,000 points equaling $1.

Once you get up to 25,000 points, which is equal to $25, you can request a withdrawal for the money. You can get gift cards or a PayPal account transfer, giving you some flexibility regarding how you want to be compensated.

Something very important to note about OneOpinion is that if you don’t take any surveys for a 90 day period, your account will be switched to an “inactive status”. If you still have no account activity for a further 90 days (180 days total), they will remove your account completely and you’ll forfeit any of the credits or points in your account. Keep this in mind when you sign up and start building points. You don’t want to lose your hard earned cash due to inactivity.

13. Survey Club

Survey Club is a bit different from other companies. Instead of hosting paid surveys themselves, they act as a middleman or marketplace to help connect users with available studies. While you earn money through Survey Club, the paid surveys are technically hosted elsewhere.

This means you might make less than if you took the survey through the primary site, but it can also save you a lot of time, making it a potentially worthwhile tradeoff.

In addition to paid online surveys, they also present local market research offers. These are tailor picked for you based on your demographics, and are neatly presented in your “available offers” page after creating a free profile.

What I like about Survey Club is they take a lot of the search work out of the picture so you can easily find the surveys and market research that you are most interest in. This also saves you from joining multiple surveys for money sites, as some of them are shown to you within the Survey Club system.

Eligibility: To open a Survey Club account you’ll need to be 16 years old. But because of PayPal’s regulations, you’ll need to be 18 to earn cash. If you’re between 16 – 18 you can just get Amazon gift card rewards.

14. Harris Poll Online

Harris Poll is one of the oldest and most trusted polls in the world. Their research is so prestigious it is regularly used for large national and international studies.

Getting started on Harris Poll Online takes a little longer than some other paid surveys platforms, but their clean interface makes it worth the effort. Once you gather enough points, you can cash out for gift cards or e-vouchers. You can also donate your points to charity, which is a fairly unique option.

One other cool feature is Harris has sweepstakes competitions which you get entered into automatically, even if you get disqualified throughout an individual survey process.

15. Valued Opinions

One of the larger market research groups, Valued Opinions offers points that can be converted to gift cards as compensation. While you might not see a lot of surveys, your odds of qualifying for the ones you do see are relatively high.

The Valued Opinions platform uses your profile information to help match you to opportunities, so you only see relevant paid surveys on your dashboard. The site is also fully mobile responsive, so you can take surveys and even update your profile information on the go.

In most cases, you earn between $1 and $5 for each paid online survey, and they take around 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Not bad at all! When you get emailed a new survey invitation, they include information on how long the survey will take approximately, as well as the survey deadline to respond.

16. Google Opinion Rewards

Google offer surveys for money too! Their app is free, called Google Opinion Rewards, and it’s available in both the Google Play store as well as the Apple App Store.

This is one of my favorite survey apps. Although the pay per survey is quite low, the time it takes to complete is typically less than 20 seconds. The are no ads, no hoops to jump through, and the questions are all multiple choice.

From my experience, the frequency of available surveys is quite low. But if you have notifications enabled on your cell phone the app will alert you every time a new survey is available. Once you get notified, you have 24 hours to complete the questions.
